Deutsche ups AST SpaceMobile
Deutsche ups AST SpaceMobile target on higher valuation multiple
Deutsche Bank raised the firm’s price target on AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) to $137 from $81 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The firm rolled forward its share valuation given the new year and AST’s EBITDA multiple to 20-times from 15. The reason for the increase in Deutsche’s 2030 valuation multiple is that its new forecast exits 2030 with a 60% higher EBITDA growth rate of 40%, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm believes AST has the partnerships in place to be successful and scale its direct-to-device business.

AST SpaceMobile Launch Schedule
AST SpaceMobile, a provider of low-Earth orbit satellite architecture, surged after announcing its upcoming launch schedule.
The company plans to launch its BlueBird 7 commercial communications array in late February, as part of Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin New Glenn-3 mission.
The mission will launch from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station's Launch Complex 36. The exact timing of the launch is still subject to change based on weather conditions and readiness of the New Glenn launcher system, as well as other factors.
The BlueBird 7 is the second satellite in AST SpaceMobile's next-generation constellation. The satellite array provides a space-based cellular broadband network for everyday smartphones. This mission marks the first time AST has utilized Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket.
"This launch advances our mission to bring space-based cellular broadband connectivity to everyday smartphones as we progress towards launching commercial services in 2026," said Scott Wisniewski, president of AST SpaceMobile. "BlueBird 7 moves us closer to delivering a new layer of cellular broadband connectivity for consumers, enterprises, and government customers worldwide.
AST SpaceMobile said that the next generation of BlueBirds are designed to be compatible with all major launch vehicles. The company completed previous missions with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and SpaceX.

US space stocks rise after Musk's SpaceX merges with xAI at $1.25 trillion valuation
By Jaspreet Singh
Feb 3 (Reuters) - U.S. space stocks rose on Tuesday after Elon Musk announced the merger of SpaceX and xAI in a deal that valued the combined entity at $1.25 trillion, a major push to expand artificial intelligence infrastructure outside Earth.
Musk estimates that within two to three years, the most cost-effective way to generate AI compute will be in space, as Big Tech companies spend hundreds of billions in the pursuit of artificial general intelligence, a theoretical milestone where machines could surpass human capabilities in cognitive tasks.

BlueBird 7 Puts AST SpaceMobile Back in Focus
BlueBird 7 Puts AST SpaceMobile Back in Focus
AST SpaceMobile has a stock-specific catalyst layered on top of the sector-wide hype: BlueBird 7 was encapsulated at Cape Canaveral in February 2026 and is awaiting orbital launch. The company is targeting 45 to 60 satellites in orbit by year-end 2026, with launches planned every one to two months on average. BlueBird 7 getting off the ground would mark meaningful progress toward that goal.
The fundamentals backing this launch story are real. AST SpaceMobile posted Q4 2025 revenue of $54.31 million, beating the consensus estimate of $42.24 million by 28.56%. The company has over $1.2 billion in contracted partner commitments from telecom operators. AST SpaceMobile CEO Abel Avellan framed the year ahead clearly: "In 2026, we expect to scale our space-based direct-to-device network from initial commercial activation toward the start of broader commercial service."

Insurance coverage is expected to address the loss

The mission was flown by Blue Origin, and the off target deployment has rendered the satellite unusable for its intended service.
The company stated that BlueBird 7 will be de orbited and that insurance coverage is expected to address the loss.
