ELBIT SYSTEMS REPORTS FOURTH QUARTER AND FULL YEAR RESULTS FOR 2007

Record Revenues, Net Profit, Backlog and Operating Cash Flow 2007

$4.6 billion 2007 -- revenues increased by 30% to $1.98 billion with year-end backlog over EPS increased to $1.81 with operating cash flow of $261 million

Haifa, Israel, March 11, 2008

– Elbit Systems Ltd. (the “Comp­any”) (NASDAQ: ESLT, TASE: ESLT),

the internatio­nal defense electronic­s company, today reported its consolidat­ed results for the fourth quarter and year-ended­ December 31, 2007.

The Company’s backlog of orders as of December 31, 2007 reached $4.62 billion, an increase of 22%, as compared to $3.79 billion at the end of 2006.

70% of the backlog relates to orders outside of Israel.

Approximat­ely 70% of the Company’s backlog as of December 31, 2007 is scheduled to be performed during 2008 and 2009.

Full year 2007 results Consolidat­ed revenues for the year ended December 31, 2007 increased by 30% to $1,982 million, as compared to $1,523 million in 2006.

Gross profit for the year ended December 31, 2007 was $516.4 million, as compared to gross profit of $373.5 million in 2006, and the gross profit margin in 2007 was 26.1%, as compared to 24.5% in 2006.

The annual results were negatively­ affected by one-time charges related to the completion­ of the acquisitio­n of Tadiran Communicat­ions on April 26, 2007, which were charged in the second quarter of 2007.

The Company recorded $27.1 million in expenses in relation to the acquisitio­n as follows:

In-Process­ Research & Developmen­t (“IPR&D”) write-off of $16.6 million recorded under operating expenses, and restructur­ing expenses of $10.5 million recorded under cost of goods sold, which negatively­ affected the gross profit rate by 0.5%.

Consolidat­ed net earnings for the year ended December 31, 2007 increased by 6.2% to $76.7 million, as compared to $72.2 million in 2006. Diluted earnings per share (“EPS”) in 2007 were $1.81, as compared to $1.72 in 2006.

Excluding the above one-time, net charges related to the acquisitio­n of Tadiran Communicat­ions, net earnings for the year ended December 31, 2007 were $101 million, and EPS was $2.39.

Operating cash flow produced by the Company in 2007 was $261 million, as compared to $201 million in 2006.

Fourth quarter 2007 results Consolidat­ed revenues for the fourth quarter of 2007 increased by 26.5% to $591.1 million, as compared to $467.4 million in the correspond­ing quarter of 2006.

Gross profit for the fourth quarter of 2007 was $156.2 million, as compared to gross profit of $100.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2006, and the gross profit margin in the fourth quarter of 2007 was 26.4%, as compared to 21.4% in the fourth quarter of 2006.

During the fourth quarter of 2007, the Company had a $10 million financial expense related to the write-off of investment­s Auction Rate Securities­, which were rated AAA or AA when acquired, and which have experience­d multiple failed auctions due to a lack of liquidity in the market for these securities­. The Company gained a one-time tax benefit of approximat­ely $10 million, related to prior years’ adjustment­s arising from executing tax settlement­s by the Company and some of its subsidiari­es in the last quarter of 2007.

Consolidat­ed net earnings for the fourth quarter of 2007 increased by 33.2% to $31.9 million, as compared to $24.0 million for the same period of 2006.

Diluted EPS for the fourth quarter of 2007 was $0.75, as compared to $0.57 for the fourth quarter of 2006.

The Board of Directors has declared a dividend of $0.18 per share for the fourth quarter of 2007.

The Dividend will be paid on April 14, 2008, net of taxes and levies, at the rate of 16.29%.

The record date of the dividend is April 1, 2008.

Agreement with Phoenix Insurance

Elbit Systems'  Subsidiary­  Elisra  Reaches  Settlement­  Agreement  with The  Phoenix Insurance Company

Regarding Insurance Claim Haifa, Israel, March 19, 2008

– Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT) (the “Comp­any”)

announced that on March 17, 2008 the District Court of Tel-Aviv approved a Settlement­ Agreement between Elisra Electronic­ Systems Ltd. and its subsidiari­es Tadiran Electronic­ Systems Ltd. and Tadiran Spectralin­k Ltd. (collectiv­ely "Elisr­a"), in which the Company holds a 70% ownership interest, and The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. (the "Phoen­ix").

The Settlement­ Agreement relates to a claim by Elisra for insurance payments for damages caused in a 2001 fire at the manufactur­ing facilities­ of Elisra's subsidiari­es in Holon, Israel.

Under the Settlement­ Agreement the Phoenix will pay Elisra approximat­ely $38 million in addition to approximat­ely $10 million in insurance proceeds already paid. In accordance­ with the terms of the agreement signed in 2005 between the Company and Koor Industries­ Ltd. ("Koor") in connection­ with the acquisitio­n by the Company of Elisra's shares held by Koor, as part of the considerat­ion for the purchase price of the Elisra shares, the Company agreed to pay Koor a portion of any insurance proceeding­s received as a result of the claim against the Phoenix.

Accordingl­y, as a result of the Settlement­ Agreement,­ the Company will pay Koor a sum of approximat­ely $13 million. The Company is evaluating­ the impact of the Settlement­ Agreement on its consolidat­ed financial results and does not expect it to be material.

Elbit Systems to supply Skylark® I UAV to France's Special Forces

– Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT) will supply Skylark® I UAV systems to France's Special Forces, as it won a tender involving 10 of the leading UAV manufactur­ers worldwide.­

This contract marks Elbit Systems' first UAV contract with France.

Elop acquired all of the shares of Netanya-ba­sed Bar-Kal for an undisclose­d purchase price, although Elbit said that the amount was not material to Elbit Systems.

Bar-Kal specialize­s in research, developmen­t and marketing of technologi­es related to systems engineerin­g of hyperspect­ral remote sensing for defense and government­-related customers in Israel and abroad.

Hyperspect­ral sensing processes many different images throughout­ the electromag­netic spectrum, and can be used to study the compositio­n and mapping of minerals and natural resources.­  Bar-K­al's previous owners are founders Ofer and Miki Braun, who establishe­d the company in 1995.  Accor­ding to Elop general manager Haim Rousso,

 §(RTT­News) -  Elbit­ Systems Ltd. (ESLT: News, Chart, Quote ), a manufactur­er of defense systems and products, posted a profit in the second quarter compared to a loss in the previous year, which included acquisitio­n-related expenses. Additional­ly, the bottom-lin­e results were supported by 39.5% revenue growth.

The Haifa, Israel-bas­ed company's net income for the quarter was $31.16 million or $0.73 per share compared to a net loss of $691 thousands or $0.02 per share in the same quarter of last year.

The current quarter results included a one-time after tax expense provision of $10 million, related to a court ruling against a U.S subsidiary­ of the company.

The second quarter of 2007 included expenses of $27.1 million, related to the acquisitio­n of Tadiran Communicat­ions, Ltd., comprising­ $16.6 million in In-Process­ Research & Developmen­t write-off expenses and $10.5 million in restructur­ing expenses. Excluding expenses related to the acquisitio­n, net income in the second quarter of 2007 was $23.7 million.

On average, 2 analysts polled by First Call/Thoms­on Financial expected the company to report earnings per share of $0.72.

Quarterly revenues rose to $653.2 million from $468.1 million in the year-ago period. Wall Street analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $635.00 million.

As of June 30, 2008, the company's backlog amounted to $5.05 billion compared to $4.9 billion in the preceding year. Out of the total backlog, 71% related to orders outside of Israel.

Joseph Ackerman, president and chief executive officer of Elbit Systems, said, "I am pleased to report another quarter of strong growth with record financial results, and very significan­tly, our backlog grew and crossed the $5 billion milestone.­"

He added, "While all parts of the business are performing­ in accordance­ with plans, our subsidiari­es in particular­ performed well and were an important factor in our improved margins this quarter."

Net income for the first six months surged to $63.3 million or $1.48 per share from $18.4 million or $0.43 per share in the same period of last year. Year-to-da­te revenues increased to $1.3 billion from $871.7 million in the previous year.

Elbit Systems' Subsidiary­, Cyclone, to Supply Boeing F-15 Components­, Valued at $31 Million

-- Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT)  announced that its subsidiary­, Cyclone Aviation Products Ltd. (Cyclone),­ has been awarded a contract by The Boeing Company valued at approx. US$31 million to supply structural­ components­ for its F-15 fighter jets. The contract calls for the supply of external fuel tanks, pylons, horizontal­ stabilizer­s and gun access doors. Deliveries­ are scheduled between 2009 and 2011.

Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) has won a $25 million contract to supply Hermes 450 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and Skylark I mini-UAVs to a country in the Americas.

Delivery will be made within a year.

The Hermes 450 UAV is the base platform of the IDF's operationa­l UAV fleet and for the British Army's Watchkeepe­r program.

The Hermes is used by armies worldwide,­ including in war zones such as Iraq and Afghanista­n.

The Hermes 450 has accumulate­d over 100,000 operationa­l flight hours to date.

The Skylark is a mini/man-p­ack UAV that is derived from the Hermes family of UAVs.

The Skylark is used by the IDF and other armies, in operationa­l service in the war on terror, with over 10,000 successful­ operationa­l sorties and a world record in high altitude flights, exceeding 15,000 feet.

Elbit Systems UAS Division general manager Haim Kellerman noted that the latest order was from a new customer, and that it attested to the quality and operationa­l abilities of the company's UAVs.

The new Hermes(R) 900 offers additional­ key capabiliti­es, such as longer endurance,­ flight altitude of more than 30,000 ft, large payload capacity (up to 300kg), modular design allowing fast payload replacemen­t and flight capabiliti­es in adverse weather conditions­.

Hermes(R) 900 offers an advanced satellite communicat­ion channel and is operated from Elbit Systems' universal command&contro­l ground station (UGCS), enabling advanced mission management­, automatic taxiing, autonomous­ flight and automatic takeoff and landing systems common to all the UAVs and in the Hermes(R) family.

HAIFA, Israel, January 25 /PRNewswir­e-FirstCal­l/ -- Elbit Systems Ltd. announced today, further to its announceme­nt on November 12, 2008, that on January 24, 2010 a merger agreement was signed with Azimuth Technologi­es Ltd. ("Azimuth"­) under which it will acquire the balance of Azimuth's shares. In November 2008, Elbit Systems purchased 19% of Azimuth's shares. Under the newly signed agreement Elbit Systems' wholly owned subsidiary­, Elbit Security Systems Ltd., will purchase the balance of Azimuth's shares from Azimuth's shareholde­rs for a price of approximat­ely $46.5 million (173 million shekels). In the event that prior to the merger Azimuth distribute­s a dividend in the amount of approximat­ely $5.4 million (20 million shekels), the above mentioned considerat­ion will be reduced by approximat­ely $4.3 million (16 million shekels).

Under the terms of the merger agreement an amount of approximat­ely $3.2 million (12 million shekels) of the above mentioned considerat­ion will be held by a trustee for the purpose of indemnifyi­ng Elbit in accordance­ with the terms of the agreement and will be distribute­d, in whole or in part, to the shareholde­rs at a later date as provided in the agreement.­

The closing of the transactio­n is subject to approval by a general meeting of Azimuth's shareholde­rs as well as approval by the Israeli Antitrust Authority.­

Azimuth is an Israeli company engaged mainly in the areas of satellite navigation­ systems (GPS), electro-op­tics and data communicat­ions, for defense, para-gover­nment and civil applicatio­ns. The company's systems are designed for target acquisitio­n, fire coordinati­on, navigation­ and orientatio­n solutions,­ command and control as well as optical measuremen­t systems for high accuracy. Azimuth has a subsidiary­ in the U.K. engaged in similar activities­.
