M-fuel EcoloCap (OTC-BB: ECOS) Could Benefit from New Fuel Standards

 Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

EcoloCap Solutions, Inc. (ECOS), which develops nanotechnology-enhanced alternative energy solutions alongside companies like FuelCell Energy, Inc. (FCEL) and Fuel Tech, Inc. (FTEK), will benefit from new fuel standards proposed by the Obama Administration that seek to reduce reliance on foreign fuel and curb harmful emissions.

Last week, President Obama signed a Presidential Memorandum directing regulators to set mileage and pollution limits for big trucks while tightening rules for future cars and SUVs. The unprecedented move is aimed at halving the amount of fuel used and emissions produced by big trucks that account for nearly 5% of all vehicles on U.S. highways.

Despite their small numbers, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that these commercial trucks account for more than 20% of greenhouse gas emissions and 20% of fuel. The new standards would apply for trucks and buses for model years 2014 to 2018. Meanwhile, the regulations for passenger cars wouldn’t be put into effect until 2017 to 2025.

While much of the focus has been on hybrid vehicles, innovators like EcoloCap Solutions, Inc. (OTC-BB: ECOS) are producing solutions that can be immediately applied. The company’s M-Fuel is an emulsion, a combination of oil, water and a proprietary additive, that reduces fuel use by 30%, particulate emission by 98%+, and gas emissions by 60% or more, while even cutting costs by 25%, all in unmodified diesel engines.

M-Fuel is produced by combining oil, water, and a proprietary additive and processing the mixture. International and US patentes are being prepared for the process. Essentially, the technology breaks apart the water molecules which are absorbed into fuel molecules to produce a new fuel that combusts more completely and consists of 30% water. EcoloCap Solutions recently shipped its first unit M-Fuel to Canada and is in discussions with potential customers around the world Independent testing in the US is expected to start in 60 days for over-the-road and maritime. applications. This technology will meet new demands imposed by the government with a reduced capital investment, today.

EcoloCap Sells First NPW-30 Biodiesel Processor
The NPW-30 represents the most efficient biodiesel processing technology on the market, reducing cost and time, opening the door for large production and profitable operation for alternative fuel producers

BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS, Jun 30, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- EcoloCap Solutions Inc.(ECOS 0.190.000.00%), an integrated network of environmentally-focused technology companies utilizing nanotechnology to develop efficient alternative energy solutions, today announced the sale of a NPW-30 unit to R3 Energy LLC (http://www.R3energyllc.com) of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. The contract price was $441,000 of which $175,000 was received, the balance due 20 days after commissioning (90 - 100 days). This introductory price includes one container of additive necessary for processing. This installation should require at least 5 container loads of additive per year.

The NPW-30 produces 30 metric tons per day of biodiesel from either waste vegetable oil or animal fat, requiring no pre-processing. EcoloCap's process utilizes nanotechnology and proprietary additive, one of the factors in reducing production costs. The EcoloCap technology can process feedstock with Free Fatty Acid (FFA) of up to 99.2% into ASTM grade biodiesel. Feedstock with high FFA being much less expensive represents another factor in reducing the cost of the finished product.

The ECOS efficiency claims are based upon the comparison with the traditional steps required to synthesize biodiesel which are as follows:

Feedstock pretreatment. If waste vegetable oil (WVO) is used, it is filtered to remove dirt, charred food, and other non-oil material often found. Water needs to be removed because its presence causes the triglycerides to hydrolyze, giving salts of the fatty acids (soaps) instead of undergoing transesterification to give biodiesel.

Determination and treatment of free fatty acids: A sample of the cleaned feedstock oil is then titrated with a standardized base solution in order to determine the concentration of free fatty acids (carboxylic acids) present in the waste vegetable oil sample. These acids are then either esterified into biodiesel, esterified into bound glycerides, or removed, typically through neutralization.

Reactions. While adding the base, a slight excess is factored in to provide the catalyst for the transesterification. The calculated quantity of base (usually sodium hydroxide) is added slowly to the alcohol and it is stirred until it dissolves. Sufficient alcohol is added to make up three full equivalents of the triglyceride, and an excess of usually six parts alcohol to one part triglyceride is added to drive the reaction to completion.

Product purification. Products of the reaction include not only biodiesel, but also byproducts, soap, glycerin, excess alcohol, and trace amounts of water. All of these byproducts must be removed, though the order of removal is process-dependent.

The density of glycerin being greater than that of biodiesel, this property difference is exploited to separate the bulk of the glycerol byproduct. Residual methanol is typically removed through distillation and reused, though it can be washed out (with water) as a waste. Soaps can be removed or converted into acids. Any residual water must be removed from the fuel.

In contrast to that traditional biodiesel technology the ECOS NPW-30 is an automatic batch flow which has only one processing step. The ECOS process reduces the oils to nano-sized particles (less than 1 micron) and the process is independent of the amounts of FFA. Size does matter, at least to small particles. Nano sized particles take on unusual properties. The solubility product and miscibility change and physical separations can occur on a molecular level. The addition of the additive performs the conversion of the fatty acids into glycerin not glycerol. The biodiesel resulting meets or exceeds all ASTM requirements. The glycerin produced by the ECOS process is pharmaceutical grade and can be sold, as is, to the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food industries. There are no other by-products of manufacturing and no catalysts to recover. The ECOS cost is a minimum of 25% of standard transesterification.

Jerry McCalla, President of R3 Energy, stated: "With the NPW-30, we initially plan to produce some 9,000 gallons of high quality biodiesel per day. However, we have the capacity to produce over five times that quantity. After the installation of the first unit, we plan to order additional equipment for our company to reach its full potential. This means a lot for our industry and could be a major factor in the alternative fuel market. We also note that EcoloCap offers a Glycerin Refining Process that will extract glycerin from biodiesel to medical grade 99+%. This will represent a welcome additional bonus for our operation."

Michael Siegel, President and CEO of EcoloCap stated: "We are pleased to deal with a forward-looking company like R3 Energy. The R3 Energy management team recognized the opportunity that our processes offer to their industry and we commend them for their vision. For EcoloCap, this is a significant entry into the huge alternative fuel market. There will be a lot of industry observers watching with interest."

The discussions dealt on three areas of battery applications: 1) The utilization of the EcoloCap Nano Li(x) battery for various fleet operations including the conversion of the described bus routes into an all electric operation. 2) The design of an EcoloCap Nano battery for use in an electric three-wheeler design and a four wheel taxi. The deadline to start the manufacturing of the three-wheeler is Sep 2010. The government permit for this product proposes an initial production of 10,000 units. 3) The all-electric taxi is to be introduced by the company in Dec. 2010 with only slight design changes needed to migrate production to small and medium size delivery trucks.

The first batteries are to be assembled in India by a venture to be defined by the parties, subject to final design and longevity testing now underway, and which will last for 4 weeks.

Mr. Sheetal P. Singh, a Director of Argentum stated: "After an initial study and based on past results, we are convinced that the Ecolocap Nano battery technology will make India a leader in the electric fleet transportation market. We have signed the necessary NDA's with EcoloCap and are proceeding to testing for longevity. We expect that these tests will be consistent with previous tests and we will be looking to conclude an alliance with EcoloCap for local production of the batteries. "

Mr. Siegel stated, "The electric vehicle will eventually play an important role in Indian society. The Nano battery is the only battery now considered for these applications because of the price and power density. We plan to deliver sample batteries to be used in 200 three wheelers for the 2010 Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi."

happy trading

News BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS -- (Marketwire) -- 11/03/10 -- EcoloCap Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: ECOS)

With the U.S. Government expected to seek a 20 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and fuel consumption, future tractor-trailers, school buses, delivery vans, garbage trucks and heavy-duty pickup trucks must do better at the pump to meet first-ever fuel efficiency rules coming from the Obama administration. The Environmental Protection Agency and the Transportation Department are moving ahead with a proposal for medium and heavy-duty trucks, beginning with those sold in the 2014 model year and into the 2018 model year.

EcoloCap's M-Fuel is an emulsion of 70% diesel and 30% water that is 20% cheaper than diesel, reduces particulate emissions by 98%+ and so fully qualifies for the Government tax credit. After many years of research into water-fuel emulsions in engine applications, the use of these fuels has increasingly become a viable, cleaner alternative to conventional fuels. Several studies have confirmed emissions reductions of NOx, PM and other pollutants in various applications, including highway and stationary engines. EcoloCap is the first company to produce an emulsion fuel that is more efficient than the preprocessed fuel, while reducing particulate emissions by 98+%. In the initial stages of processing M-Fuel, the emission of Sulfur and heavy metals are reduced to 15 parts per million (PPM)

Without any modification of the original engine or the need to introduce new engine technology, M-Fuel meets and exceeds all current proposed government efficiency and emission regulations. Additionally, M-Fuel is 20% cheaper than standard diesel fuel with a Government tax credit of $0.19/gallon for each gallon of M-Fuel burned. At the present cost of $3.00 per gallon for diesel fuel, M-Fuel will save the end user up to $0.80/gallon with the fuel tax credit.

Initial tests results on a 2, Tier 1, Diesel Mini Vans (3 Months)

Michael Siegel, CEO states: "We will be delivering the first NPW-30 to R-3 Energy in Cottonwood Falls, KS (30 metric tons/day of biodiesel) as soon as an extensive series of quality control tests are completed.

We plan to set up the NPU-10 (M-Fuel) and NPW-3 (biodiesel) processor in our demonstration facility by the end of the year in the Chicago area in order to demonstrate the unique capabilities of our technology. We are presently in the process of testing bio-diesel production from high fatty acids such as chicken fat, beef tallow and trap grease. Utilizing these feedstocks and the ECOS technology, the NPW-30 can produce bio-diesel for around $0.35 a gallon not including the cost of the feedstock.

Exceeds ASTM Standards

Proof that EcoloCap's Biodiesel Technology Exceeds ASTM Standards, Along With Low Production Costs, Makes EcoloCap a Game Changer for the Biodiesel Industry

In the absence of a government tax incentive, EcoloCap's Biodiesel Technology is the industry's best chance for revitalization.

BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS--(Marketwire - Nov. 12, 2010) - EcoloCap Solutions Inc. (OTCBB:ECOS)

Since Congress failed to reinstate the Biodiesel tax incentive, the US Biodiesel industry has been at a virtual standstill as the production cost of Biodiesel from soybeans far exceeds its retail price. The energy security and environmental benefits that come from the production and use of biodiesel are rendered meaningless when the feedstock for processing, low or no fatty acids, is no longer available for the food chain.

As an alternative to soybeans, the use of wasted oils for conversion to biodiesel has been a difficult and expensive process. That is, until the advent of EcoloCap's Biodiesel Technology. EcoloCap's proprietary, single step process uses waste oils with free fatty acid content of up to 95%. The cost of processing is only $0.30 a gallon, plus the cost of the feedstock.. This technology has the potential to revitalize the US Biodiesel industry, create a new market for waste oils, and return the industry to profitability in spite of the absence of a tax incentive.

Established in 1898, ASTM International is the world's largest standards developer with 12,000 of its standards in use around the world. The evidence that EcoloCap-produced Biodiesel exceeds the relevant ASTM International standards is presented in the following table:

Updates Super Battery / M-Fuel BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS -- (Marketwire) -- 12/02/10 -- (OTCBB: ECOS)

ECOS CEO Michael Siegel issues update on ECOS Global Operations:

In North America EcoloCap Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: ECOS) is moving forward with the establishment of an advanced nano lithium battery manufacturing complex in Native American tribal lands. The company's executives will meet with tribal leaders in December to plan implementation, and remain focused on minimizing manufacturing costs in order to make the technology highly competitive with high-capacity lead acid cells. Negotiations are expected to conclude by the 1st quarter of next year.

M-Fuel samples have arrived for testing in the US, where ECOS will duplicate the Korean testing that has already demonstrated increased efficiency, along with reductions in both emissions and cost, versus traditional diesel. Following the fuel samples are the demonstration M-Fuel and Biodiesel processors which will be used to establish a demonstration center in the Chicago area for ECOS technologies.

Europe: In Holland, EcoloCap Solutions Inc. and MEGAS have approved the final sample battery design and delivery of test batteries is expected 1st quarter of next year. This testing is the last step before completion of the final design for the battery to be produced by MEGAS. The company is also in the process of supplying additional batteries for independent testing by companies in both electric vehicle and power storage applications, and is moving rapidly to bring this revolutionary technology to market in Europe.

Asia: India (Argentum Group) has just finished successfully testing the advanced nano lithium battery for longevity and EcoloCap Solutions Inc. anticipates being able to publicize the results shortly. Preliminary results demonstrate that the innovative design of these batteries allows them to meet and exceed life cycle requirements of standard lithium batteries, which translates into an improved return on investment for the many high-tech companies for whom battery life is a critical factor. Additionally ECOS and Argentum are working diligently to finalize the operational structure that will commercialize the batteries in India.

M-Fuel: EcoloCap Solutions Inc. has also agreed to partner with Argentum Group to provide ArcelorMittal with M-fuel for their steel production facility in Kazakhstan. The Accor-Mittal plant demands up to 60 tons per hour of Mazut oil, which is equivalent to a heavy fuel oil 100 or Bunker C. The steel furnaces are heavy polluters and EcoloCap's system will provide not only a cost benefit, but a reduction of 98 % on particulate emissions and 60% or greater overall emissions. EcoloCap has been working on this program with Accor-Mittal since July and management is excited to see the project move to the next phase. Argentum has already established representative offices in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and Michael Siegel, along with Sheetal Singh of Argentum, will be traveling to finalize the Kazakhstan - M-Fuel project.
