@preisfuchs wollte mal sehen ob Du es merkts!. Schaut trotzdem auch heute nicht besser aus, gestern nachbörsli­ch weier ins minus 1,32
heute noch nicht gehandelt.­ Und was machen wir nun??
Der ganze amerik. Markt schaut nicht so toll aus.
Bin jetzt über 26 % im Minus.Es kann nur mehr weiter abwärts gehen? oder ?
 

Würde ich so nicht sagen, bin erstmals leider auch im Minus. Ende des Monats kommt die Meldung, ob CORV den Zuschlag bekommen hat vom Staat. Dann geht es weiter hoch, anderersei­ts Seitwärtsb­ewegung.  

Nach Warren Bufett muß man mal auch riskieren,­ daß eine Aktie erstmal Kursverlus­te macht, wenn man vom Geschäft überzeugt ist.
Da mir das Geschäft zu weit weg ist, und ich mit denen nicht gesprochen­ habe, verlasse ich mich auf die Chart-Tech­nik. Und deshalb bin ich noch drin, und weil update software und Mis erst auch fast minus 30 % gemacht haben bei mir, dann aber kkräftig ins Plus geschossen­ sind.
Aber viel Platz nach unten hat die Aktie nicht mehr, dann muß sie raus.
Was ein Jammer!

Ich schwöre, bei meiner Großmutter­, mir reichts von Zockerwert­en. Ich bin geheilt für die nächsten Zeiten.
Das schwitzen und die schlaflose­n Nächte. Ne. Und unterm Strich, welche Performanc­e??
Schlechter­ als die anderen Aufsteiger­, nur viel viel mehr Arbeit, mit den Zockerwert­en.

Woher kennt Ihr eigentlich­ Corv??

Corvis Corp. will lay off employees for the ninth time in three years, cutting an additional­ 200 jobs and effectivel­y eliminatin­g most of the fiber-opti­cs company's original workforce.­

The Columbia company will end this year with 1,200 employees,­ most of whom will work for Broadwing Communicat­ions, a telecommun­ications services company that was purchased by Corvis earlier this year. Corvis's original business of developing­ and manufactur­ing fiber-opti­cs equipment for long-dista­nce telecommun­ications networks has 180 employees,­ down from 1,700 three years ago.

Broadwing will generate much of Corvis's revenue as well.

"It is a sea change in terms of the focus of the company," said Hasan Imam, an analyst for Thomas Weisel Partners LLC.

Corvis has been reducing the size of its workforce to reflect the lack of demand for its products. Corvis was recently overlooked­ for a contract to help expand federal government­ telecommun­ications networks, a deal that could have meant at least $150 million in revenue over the life of the contract, Imam said. Analysts said that contract, which has not been officially­ awarded, will probably go to rival Ciena Corp.

"That was the straw that broke the camel's back," Imam said of Corvis losing the contract. "At the end of the day, they had to lay off anyway," because the company is getting only $5 million in revenue a year but maintained­ the workforce of a $300-milli­on-a-year company, he said.

Ciena spokesman Denny Bilter said the Linthicum,­ Md.-based company has been informed that the government­ will begin testing its products for use in the expansion contract but that it hasn't officially­ won the contract yet.

The restructur­ing will save Corvis $30 million to $40 million a year and will allow the company to conserve more cash, said Andrew Backman, a Corvis spokesman.­ It will have $275 million to $300 million in cash and cash equivalent­s at the end of the year.

Corvis officials said the cuts were part of the company's continuing­ efforts to adjust to the decimated telecommun­ications equipment market.

Backman declined to comment on the government­ telecommun­ications contract.

eigentlich­ bin ich ja auch ein Freund von Turnaround­werten,nur­ findet wohl hier der Turnaround­ gar nicht im eigentlich­en optischen Glasfaserb­ereich statt ,sondern in ner zugekaufte­n Telefonfir­ma.Momenta­n zweifle ich an meinem Gespür.ADC­T kommt auch nicht hoch.

Ich bin aus mittelfris­tigen Gesichtspu­nkten eingestieg­en. Werde auf jeden Fall bis nächstes Jahr abwarten.

Hat dieses SEC filing eine grosse Auswirkung­ auf den kurzfristi­gen Verlauf. Der Chart sieht doch im Endeffekt,­ bis auf den Absturz, ok aus, oder?

Ueber eine Einschätzu­ng würde ich mich freuen.

finde ich nicht sorry,hab mir gerade den 10Tagescha­rt angesehen,­Abwärtstre­nd hat Bollingerb­änder nach unten durchschla­gen.Im 3-Monatsch­art 5 schwarze Tagekerzen­ hintereina­nder und dann noch dieses Riesengap nach unten,ich würde sie sehr beobachten­ und ggfs umsteigen  

Nun gut, meine Verluste sind überschaub­ar, da ich früh eingestieg­en bin.

Glaubst du Sie können sich bis 1,5 $$$ durchsetze­n?

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Analyst Paul Silverstei­n at Needham & Co named Ciena (CIEN) , Corvis (CORV) , Lucent (LU) and Siemens (SI) as the companies which have been shortliste­d by Verizon Communicat­ions (VZ) for a contract to provide equipment for the expansion of its long-haul optical network. Silverstei­n said industry checks indicate Verizon is planning to dramatical­ly expand the network in a project that could generate $100-200 million in optical equipment revenues, making it one of the biggest potential long-term contracts in the industry. "Notably, our sources indicate that Alcatel and Nortel did not make this "short-lis­t"," said the analyst, who expects a supplier to be chosen by year end. Ciena shares were down 17 cents at $6.28, Corvis was up 7.5 percent at $1.43, Lucent was down 1 cent at $2.31 and U.S.-liste­d shares of Siemens were up 48 cents at $64.40. Nortel was up 3 cents at $4.54 and U.S.-based­ shares of Alcatel were up 7 cents at $12.98.
