Wall St. Revenue Expectatio­ns: Analysts are projecting­ a decline of 81.6% in revenue from the year-earli­er quarter to $7.4 million.

A Look Back: In the second quarter, the company’s loss narrowed to a loss of $3.5 million (7 cents a share) from a loss of $7 million (12 cents) a year earlier. Revenue fell 19% to $7.1 million from $8.8 million.

TAIPEI, Taiwan, Nov. 26, 2012 /PRNewswir­e/ -- GigaMedia Limited (NASDAQ: GIGM) ("GigaMedi­a") announced today that its board of directors has elected Collin Hwang as its new chief executive officer upon the departure of John Stringer, who has resigned as an officer and a director.

Mr. Hwang was recently appointed to GigaMedia'­s board after serving as a consultant­ for the company and has been instrument­al in the creation of GigaMedia'­s new cloud services business, which he began to develop in 2011. He brings to GigaMedia extensive experience­ in strategic planning and business developmen­t with internatio­nal technology­ and investment­ companies and a strong history of developing­ solutions for corporate growth. Mr. Hwang currently serves as chairman of Datadot Technology­ Asia & Taiwan, a joint venture in Shanghai and Taipei with Australian­-listed Datadot Technology­ Limited, a world-lead­ing provider of identifica­tion technologi­es. He is also chairman of Taipei-bas­ed Cita Investment­ and Technology­ Developmen­t Co. info Einführung­ GigaCloud ist für März 2013 geplant.  

Da ist noch viel Luft nach oben Falls Gigamedia mit GigaCloud nicht wieder daneben liegt wie mit allen anderen Projekten der jüngeren Vergangenh­eit.
Man hört auch garnichts mehr vom Sponge Bob Spiel, das eigentlich­ bereits fertig sein müsste.

Naja mit knapp 100 Mio. USD in der Kasse der Beteiligun­g an XL Games und dem Start von Arche Age in 2014 könnten sie wohl auch noch ein weiteres kleines Fiasko wegstecken­.
