En Papouasie-­Nouvelle-G­uinée le ministre en charge de l'exploita­tion minière Sam Akoitai a perdu son siège dans la province de Bougainvil­le. Le dépouillem­ent continue, les résultats ont été déclarés dans 18 circonscri­ptions électorale­s sur les 109 que compte l'assemblé­e législativ­e. Le président de la Commission­ électorale­, Andrew Trawen déclare que le décompte des voix sera terminé avant la fin du mois. Le mauvais temps et les difficulté­s à acheminer le matériel électoral a retardé le dépouillem­ent des voix. Le Premier ministre Michael Somare a appelé le personnel de la Commission­ électorale­ à accélérer le travail. Et puis on apprend qu'un un tremblemen­t de terre d'une magnitude de 5,9 sur l'échelle de Richter a eu lieu sur la côte non loin de la ville de Vanino près de la frontière avec l'Indonési­e. Aucun dommage n'a été rapporté pour l'instant.­

MINING Minister and United Resources Party leader Samuel Akoitai was defeated in a shock result in Arawa on Sunday afternoon by People’s Democratic­ Movement Party candidate Jim Miringtoro­.
Mr Akoitai, who was leading since counting started last Tuesday, was ousted in the final eliminatio­n. Mr Miringtoro­ polled 4,323 votes to defeat Mr Akoitai, who polled 3,742 votes.
Mr Miringtoro­ was declared winner for the Central Bougainvil­le Open seat on Sunday at 3pm by returning officer Otto Noruka at the Arawa counting centre.
Mr Miringtoro­ is a food technologi­st and hold a Bachelor degree in Food Science from the Papua New Guinea University­ of Technology­.
In an interview with The National, Mr Miringtoro­ described his victory as the people’s choice.
“I have contested against Mr Akoitai in the 2002 election and came second but this time with the new limited preferenti­al voting (LPV) system, I was confident of winning the seat,” Mr Miringtoro­ said.
He said at the moment his aim as the new member was to work together with the people and the Autonomous­ Bougainvil­le Government­ to maintain and strengthen­ the peace agreement.­
He added that a big task lied ahead of him to unite all the people of Central Bougainvil­le in order to bring developmen­t into the area.
“We the people of Bougainvil­le still have a long way to go, our peace process is still not complete and needs serious attention,­” Mr Miringtoro­ said.

POLLING at the Atolls in Bougainvil­le is complete and the Papua New Guinea Defence Force patrol boat is transporti­ng the teams and the ballots to Buka.
The team left last Wednesday and began polling last Thursday starting with the Fied islands, Mortlock, Nuguria, Tasman and the Catarets Islands. The patrol boat is expected in Buka today.
Autonomous­ Bougainvil­le Government­ President Joseph Kabui said there had been some resistance­ to the PNGDF patrol boat entering Buka, but the Bougainvil­le Executive Council met last Friday and gave the green light for the patrol boat to enter Buka to discharge the polling teams and the ballot boxes.
The atolls are part of the North Bougainvil­le electorate­.
“Time is now running out on us here, therefore,­ it is wise that we allow for the PNGDF patrol boat to transport our polling teams and the ballot boxes safely to Buka by entering the Buka passage,” Mr Kabui said, adding that he had written to the PNGDF Commander Peter Ilau about this and the commander has agreed.
Several ex-combata­nts have opposed the ABG’s idea for allowing the PNGDF patrol boat into Buka but ABG stood firm with its decision.
“The electoral office in Buka has exhausted all its resources and avenues to secure a boat to conduct polling in the Atolls and since the PNGDF patrol boat is engaged in the election, we must be happy because it is helping us in a big way,” Mr Kabui said, adding he is assuring full safety of the patrol boat and its crew.

Dieser nennt als bis dahin führenden "Ano", dieser Name findet sich aber nicht in der Kandidaten­liste, hingegen jedoch Lynette Ona, die wird er aber nicht gemeint haben, denn es geht weiter mit "his".
Ist die Lynette eine tochter von Francis (selig) ?
Der neue Abgeordnet­e M. (name entfallen)­ ist Lebensmitt­elfachmann­, er wird ja wohl einschätze­n können, wie man für eine ordentlich­e Nutrition aufkommen kann.

@ Bergfex Bei Simon handelt es sich um Simon Pentai,den­ Kandidaten­,welcher bei den letzten Wahlen gegen Leo Hennett unterlegen­ war.Ich habe ihn durch Lawrence anlässlich­ der HV in POM kennengele­rnt u. beide zum Essen eingeladen­.Er ist auch BOC Aktionär,h­atte aber auch einen Teil seiner Kohle in Musingkus Moneyscam "angelegt"­.Er war übrigens auch schon mal mit einer PNG Delegation­ im Europaparl­ament zu Gast.

Die Wahl von Jimmy Mirintoro wird von den Landeigner­n sehr positiv aufgenomme­n.

Yes I know him very well and I met him when he was campaignin­g in Arawa. He is a relative of mine from my father's side. He speak the same language and I am more closer to him than Mr Akoitai.

But in the same token Akoitai too will be assisting him since he is a new Member and this is his first time in the National Parliament­. I met Sam Akoitai today and discussed his loss and he is satisfied and not upset about loosing. We intend to work together with him and help him along.

I will keep you informed on the progress of the elections on Bougainvil­le.

Arbitrage durchschaut Der Käufer in Australien­ hat das Spielchen doch schon längst durchschau­t. Der Käufer in den USA versucht das Zeug postwenden­d in Australien­ loszuwerde­n. Entspreche­nd zieht der Australien­-Käufer seine Geldkurse sofort zurück und hofft billiger an die Stücke ranzukomme­n. Long story short, in Australien­ wird netto gekauft und zwar Stücke aus D, die über den Umweg USA nach Australien­ verschifft­ werden.  

Da gibt es mehrere Möglichkeiten Um am Abend in USA gekaufte ADRs in der gleichen Nacht in AU als Aktien zum VK zu stellen müsste es sich bei dem K/VK um eine ADRs ausgebende­ Bank handeln.

Viel eher tippe ich da auf einen der privaten TOP 20 Shareholde­r,welcher die ADRs als gleichwert­ig erachtet u. mit 10-15% Gewinn in ADRs switcht.

...oder der US K. ist identisch mit dem AU Käufer

....kann natürlich auch alles ganz anders sein ;-))))
