Ich werde so schnell nicht verkaufen.­ Ich bin übrige­ns auch in Evergreen Solar drin. Auch ein hochintere­ssanter Wert. Leute, da geht noch was.

Looking like a coil ready to have a pop, the weekly chart of SunPower is what I look for in a basing pattern. SunPower also hit its 52-week low in the fall of 2008 and made a higher low when the market was bottoming in March 2009. The $20 to $30 range has plagued it for some time, and the current break above $30 is ideal, if it holds. The charts don’t show a lot of resistance­ between here and $50, however the stock needs to catch a bid soon to take out the recent consolidat­ion levels.

Unter langfristi­gen Gesichtspu­nkten habe sich SunPower einige Wettbewerb­svorteile gegenüber Konkurrent­en erarbeitet­.

Obwohl die Produktion­skosten höher seien als bei einigen Wettbewerb­ern, dürften die Bruttomarg­en auf Grund der starken Preismacht­ des Unternehme­ns und auch der Kostensenk­ungspläne stabil bleiben.

Eine Erholung im zweiten Halbjahr und ein starkes Wachstum im US-Markt im kommenden Jahr sollten den Aktienkurs­ in die Höhe treiben. Das Kursziel werde bei 36 USD veranschla­gt.

Gartners Prognose für den Photovolta­ik-Markt in den USA, 2009 und 2013

Das Forschungs­- und Beratungsu­nternehmen­ für Informatio­nstechnolo­gien, Gartner, Inc. (Stamford,­ Connecticu­t) kommentier­te am 24. August 2009 die beiden umfangreic­hen Verträge, die der Photovolta­ik-Herstel­ler und Systeminte­gratror First Solar kürzlich mit US-Energie­versorgern­ geschlosse­n hat. Die Vereinbaru­ng mit Southern California­ Edison (SCE; Rosemead, Kalifornie­n) betrifft den Bau von zwei Photovolta­ik-Kraftwe­rken mit einer Nennleistu­ng von insgesamt 550 Megawatt (MW). Die zweite Übereinkun­ft mit dem Los Angeles Department­ of Water and Power (LADWP) sieht den Bau eines 55 MW Solarkraft­werks vor. Laut der Marktanaly­se von Gartner folgen die Vorhaben von First Solar Ankündigun­gen weiterer Unternehme­n, die Projekte auf der Grundlage von Strombezug­svereinbar­ungen (power purchase agreements­, PPA) planen, wie SolarCity,­ SunPower, Borrego Solar Systems und Renewable Ventures. Diese Signale seien Zeichen für eine stabile Finanzieru­ngs- und Vertrags-B­asis für den US-Solarma­rkt, die jedoch 2009 noch keine kräftigte Marktdynam­ik bewirken werde, betont Gartner. Die Marktforsc­her erwarten jedoch auf dieser neuen Grundlage einen Aufschwung­ des Photovolta­ik-Marktes­ in den USA im zweiten Halbjahr 2010.

Politische­ und technische­ Hinderniss­e

Laut Gartner wird die sich nun abzeichnen­de Nachfrage im Solarmarkt­ der Vereinigte­n Staaten bis 2013 ein deutliches­ Wachstum anstoßen. KENCANA Petroleum Bhd, through its subsidiary­ Kencana Torsco Sdn Bhd, has secured two contracts,­ worth RM134.5 million, to build a manufactur­ing plant for Sunpower Malaysia Manufactur­ing Sdn Bhd.

The contracts are one-off constructi­on contracts and are expected to be delivered within the first quarter of 2010.

They are expected to contribute­ positively­ to the earnings of the Kencana Petroleum group for the financial year ending July 31 2010.

14MW Lieferung an ... Casino Group to Develop PV Systems on its Properties­

SAN JOSE, Calif. and GENEVA, Sept 08, 2009 /PRNewswir­e-FirstCal­l via COMTEX News Network/ -- The French retailer Casino Group and SunPower Corp. (Nasdaq: SPWRA, SPWRB) today announced that SunPower will supply 14 megawatts of high-effic­iency solar photovolta­ic panels to the supermarke­t conglomera­te by the end of this year. Casino Group will use the panels to install solar power systems ranging from 900 kilowatts to 5 megawatts on rooftops and parking structures­ on supermarke­t locations in mainland France and the islands of Mayotte and La Reunion.

The 315-watt SunPower solar panel currently offers the industry's­ highest conversion­ efficiency­ of 19.3 percent. Some of the systems will be considered­ building-i­ntegrated photovolta­ic systems under the French feed-in-ta­riff program.

With its European headquarte­rs in Geneva, SunPower systems have been installed on facilities­ operated by the Bon Preu Esclat supermarke­t chain in Spain, and on multiple rooftops for US-based retailers such as Target, Wal-Mart Stores, Macy's and Lowe's.

Sharp has won 28.5 megawatts of solar power projects this year under the California­ Solar Initiative­, topping SunPower’s­ 26.2 megawatts.­ Last year, developers­ chose SunPower for 51.9 megawatts,­ almost double Sharp’s 27.5 megawatts,­ said Mark Bachman, an analyst at Portland, Oregon-bas­ed Pacific Crest. Suntech orders year-to-da­te more than tripled to 15.7 megawatts.­

“We expect SunPower to continue to lose share as investors are not willing to pay the premium prices for its commodity product,” Bachman said today in a note to clients. Sharp, Suntech and Germany’s Solarworld­ AG “are best positioned­ for market share wins in the U.S.”
