All the players have integral roles in this dance. The shorts are the piranha of the process. Ripping at the underbelly of the beast, robbing it of it gaseous buoyancy that would like a dozen red helium balloons unrealistically and unsustainably lift the prices into the stratosphere. The problem with these bottom scraping stocks is that momentum can only go one direction at a time thus creating and unrealistic picture no matter which direction it is going. The truth or real value lies somewhere in the middle. The greatest danger of stocks trading at this price is that they will go bankrupt, or be delisted and return in a reverse split that appears to be very unlikely in this case. In my opinion this stock is way under priced. A true sleeper. The powerful alliances and back log orders exceeding 380 million almost guarantee positive earnings. Thus at long last a profit a decade in the making. Crossing that threshold changes everything instantly. Early fuel cells required precious medals and were prohibitively expensive, ceramics changed all that. Studebaker made some of the most advanced cars that Detroit has ever seen unfortunately they were too far ahead of their time. Panasonic's slogan just slightly ahead of our time is where FCEL is and the market will catch up with that fact soon. Buy and hold do not let fear or fluctuations deprive you of the handsome gains I believe are inevitable.

denkst du das wir Anfang Februar andere Kurse sehen? Bin derzeit pari und brauch in q1/14 die kohle wieder :). Von daher aktuell alles nicht so schlimm. Nur die Performance geht mir aufn' S***. Insgeheim ist/soll es aber mein ultra-long-stock mit Laufzeit >5 Jahre :) (werden). PS: Jemand schon auf den RSI-Indikator geachtet?

A Case for Fuel Cells

The U.S. Department of Energy released a report recently that stated that the nation's entire energy system -- the grid and all of its associated parts -- is vulnerable to severe and costly weather events and that energy disruptions such as those caused by Hurricane Sandy are just the beginning.
"What we've learned from Hurricane Sandy and other disasters is that we've got to build smarter, more resilient infrastructure that can protect our homes and businesses, and withstand more powerful storms," President Barack Obama said recently."
So how do Dominion and other energy companies find ways to improve the resiliency of the nation's grid? What do we need to build today to prepare for an ever-changing future, to keep the lights on and get them back on faster after a natural disaster?
One of many possible answers is being built today on what was an empty lot in downtown Bridgeport, Conn. It is our newest "smart grid green" power station that holds a promise of 24/7 reliable energy, but doesn't depend on fuel combustion or those other familiar but intermittent green power sources such as sun or wind.
The new entry is the Dominion Bridgeport Fuel Cell Power Station, which will be in operation by year's end. Its progress is easily visible to the millions of people who drive along Interstate 95 and travel Amtrak's Northeast Corridor between New York City and Boston. We believe that this facility and others like it can be a key to utilities locating "clean" distributed generation in constrained areas and improving grid resiliency.
Dominion announced in late 2012 that it had acquired the project from FuelCell Energy of Danbury, Conn., Which is providing the fuel cells and services. The facility will produce enough to power approximately 15,000 homes using an electrochemical process that converts natural gas into electricity without combustion. Dominion will sell the output to Connecticut Light & Power under a 15-year fixed power purchase agreement. The facility is part of Project 150, a program sponsored by Connecticut and supported by the Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority to increase renewable and clean energy projects in Connecticut by 150 megawatts.
The power station will have five proprietary stationary fuel cell systems and an organic Rankine turbine that will use waste heat to generate almost 15 megawatts of electricity.
In essence, fuel cells are electrochemical devices that combine fuel - in this case, natural gas - with oxygen from the ambient air to produce electricity and heat, as well as water. The non-combustion process is a direct form of fuel-to energy conversion, and is more efficient than conventional heat engine approaches. Carbon dioxide is reduced because of the fuel cell's high efficiency, and the absence of combustion significantly reduces the production of nitrogen oxides and particulate pollutants.
Fuel cells incorporate an anode and a cathode, with an electrolyte in between, similar to a battery. The material used for the electrolyte and the design of the supporting structure determine the type and performance of the fuel cell. The process uses molten carbonate and porous nickel catalysts as the anode and cathode. At the end of the process, electrons flow through the external circuit, producing the desired electricity in direct current. An inverter changes the DC output to AC for use on the grid.
Distributed generation such as the Bridgeport project has several advantages. Commercial businesses, universities and military bases can become energy self-reliant. It reduces grid congestion and power transmission issues associated with centralized generation. It makes the grid better able to respond to severe weather events and does so with a process that is clean and efficient and available at all times. It is one of the possible keys to recovering from the next disruptive weather challenge that utilities will face.

Sachsen fördert innovative Speichertechnologien für Strom aus erneuerbaren Energien

Der Freistaat fördert Investitionen in dezentrale Speicher für Strom aus erneuerbaren Energien. Anlagebetreiber sollen dadurch einen Anreiz erhalten, den produzierten Strom zwischenzuspeichern und möglichst selbst zu verbrauchen, statt ihn unmittelbar ins Stromnetz einzuspeisen.
„Wer beispielsweise den Strom aus einer Photovoltaikanlage speichert und selbst verbraucht, hilft den Anstieg der EEG-Umlage zu bremsen“, so Sachsens Wirtschaftsminister Sven Morlok (FDP). „Das entlastet alle Verbraucher von den stetig steigenden Stromkosten. Das neue Förderprogramm unterstützt auch Modellvorhaben zur Marktintegration von Strom aus Photovoltaikanlagen, die gänzlich ohne die EEG-Umlage auskommen“, so Morlok weiter.
Für das Förderprogramm „Innovative dezentrale Stromerzeugung und -speicherung“ stehen für die Jahre 2013 und 2014 insgesamt 3 Millionen Euro zur Verfügung. Damit werden Investitionen in dezentrale Stromspeicher an Photovoltaikanlagen und in Brennstoffzellenheizgeräte bezuschusst. Die Höhe des Zuschusses richtet sich nach der Nennleistung der entsprechenden Erzeugungsanlage. Wer beispielsweise eine Photovoltaik-Anlage betreibt und nur 40 Prozent der Nennleistung der Anlage ins öffentliche Stromnetz einspeist und den Rest speichert, kann sich die Speicher-Anlage mit bis zu 50 Prozent fördern lassen.
Wer ganz auf die Einspeisung des selbst erzeugten EE-Stroms ins öffentliche Netz verzichtet, erhält in einer begrenzten Anzahl von Modellvorhaben einen Fördersatz von bis zu 75 Prozent für die entsprechende Speicher-Anlage einschließlich der Photovoltaikanlage.
„Damit setzen wir einen wirksamen Anreiz, einerseits Strom aus erneuerbaren Energien zu erzeugen, andererseits aber das öffentliche Stromnetz vor allem zu Spitzenzeiten zu entlasten“, so Staatsminister Morlok weiter. „Der Ausbau und die Förderung dezentraler Speicher- und Stromerzeugungstechnologien waren und sind eine wesentliche energiepolitische Forderung des Freistaats im Zusammenhang mit der Reform des Erneuerbare-Energien-Gesetzes.“
Mit der Förderung der Brennstoffzellenanlagen soll auch für diese hocheffiziente Technologie der dezentralen gekoppelten Strom- und Wärmeerzeugung die Markteinführung unterstützt werden.
Förderanträge können ab 1.10.2013 bei der Sächsischen Aufbaubank – Förderbank gestellt werden.

Damit werden Investitionen in dezentrale Stromspeicher an Photovoltaikanlagen und in Brennstoffzellenheizgeräte bezuschusst. Die Höhe des Zuschusses richtet sich nach der Nennleistung der entsprechenden Erzeugungsanlage. Wer beispielsweise eine Photovoltaik-Anlage betreibt und nur 40 Prozent der Nennleistung der Anlage ins öffentliche Stromnetz einspeist und den Rest speichert, kann sich die Speicher-Anlage mit bis zu 50 Prozent fördern lassen.
Wer ganz auf die Einspeisung des selbst erzeugten EE-Stroms ins öffentliche Netz verzichtet, erhält in einer begrenzten Anzahl von Modellvorhaben einen Fördersatz von bis zu 75 Prozent für die entsprechende Speicher-Anlage einschließlich der Photovoltaikanlage.
„Damit setzen wir einen wirksamen Anreiz, einerseits Strom aus erneuerbaren Energien zu erzeugen, andererseits aber das öffentliche Stromnetz vor allem zu Spitzenzeiten zu entlasten“, so Staatsminister Morlok weiter. „Der Ausbau und die Förderung dezentraler Speicher- und Stromerzeugungstechnologien waren und sind eine wesentliche energiepolitische Forderung des Freistaats im Zusammenhang mit der Reform des Erneuerbare-Energien-Gesetzes.“
Mit der Förderung der Brennstoffzellenanlagen soll auch für diese hocheffiziente Technologie der dezentralen gekoppelten Strom- und Wärmeerzeugung die Markteinführung unterstützt werden.
Förderanträge können ab 1.10.2013 bei der Sächsischen Aufbaubank – Förderbank gestellt werden.

Bei solchen Artikeln wo man in einem Atemzug mit Highflyern wie Tesla genannt wird, sollten in positivem Sinne die Alarmglocken schrillen...
In dem Artikel gehts um die baldige Erreichung des positiven Cashflows vielleicht schon zum nächsten Quartal.
Naja gegenüber Tesla ist Fuelcell Energy derzeit mickrig bewertet, da gibs schonmal ne Menge Nachholbedarf.

Pre-Market High bei 1,38$ gewesen. Ballard auch schon bei 1,46$. Dachte erst FCEL zieht heute an Ballard vorbei. Schönes Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen :). So kannst mal ne Weile laufen....
