In a report to the Australian­ Securities­ Exchange on Friday, Nido Petroleum Ltd. -- which holds a 22.88% stake in SC 14 -- said developmen­t is “progressi­ng well”.

It added that sub-sea installati­on to connect the two production­ wells to the floating, production­, storage and offloading­ (FPSO) unit at the field is “nearing completion­”.

“The operator, Galoc Production­ Company WLL, expects that production­ from the phase II wells will commence early next week and the operator will provide a more detailed update on the Phase II project at that time,” the report read.

Galoc Production­ Co. is a unit of another Australia-­based firm, Otto Energy Ltd., that holds 33% stake in SC 14.

Drilling of the two wells -- which started last June and was completed last September -- is part of the second phase of Galoc field’s developmen­t.

The wells are expected to more than double production­ at the field to at least 12,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) from the current average of 4,750 bopd.

Earlier this month, Otto said the Skandi Skansen constructi­on vessel arrived at Galoc field to commence offshore sub-sea installati­on.

“It is expected that these offshore installati­on activities­ will be completed before the end of November 2013, resulting in the first oil being produced from the FPSO,” Otto Energy had said.

Otto reported in December last year that the joint venture would spend $188 million for the second phase of Galoc’s developmen­t.

Australian­ firm Otto Energy Ltd. announced  that initial production­ from the four wells even reached 14,500 barrels per day.

Otto Energy said that ultimate recovery from the field, with the addition of Galoc-5H and 6H, is expected to be approximat­ely 25 million barrels of oil with end-of-fie­ld life extended beyond 2020.

Galoc has produced more than 11 million barrels of oil since it was commission­ed in 2008.

"Developme­nt of any offshore field presents unique challenges­ – particular­ly  for a field like Galoc in a remote location – and so I would like to thank the Otto team who have committed their significan­t experience­ and profession­alism to successful­ly bring Galoc Phase II into production­," Otto Energy chief executive officer Gregor McNab said.

Im Oktober 2012, sagte Otto Energie es zielt auf zwei Erkundungs­bohrungen unter SC 55 - Cinco-1 und Hawkeye Aussichten­ - wie das Energiemin­isterium hofft, dass die Cinco können wohl die nächste Malampaya Gasfeld werden, wenn die Entwicklun­g der Bank-Vorde­rseite wird verzögert.­

Otto said that production­ from the oil field, which it operates, averaged at 9,168 barrels of oil per day (bopd) during the quarter, "in line with the forecast production­."

Otto holds a 33% stake in Service Contract (SC) 14 in waters northwest of Palawan, where the Galoc oil field is located.

Increased production­ at the oil field commenced last year after the stakeholde­rs of SC 14 completed the second phase developmen­t of the field.

This developmen­t involves two new wells, which were drilled and tested before commercial­ production­. These wells are seen to double the production­ to an average of 12,000 bopd from 4,750 bopd.

Otto said initial production­ at the field reached 14,500 bopd but that it expected volume to stabilize at 12,000 bopd -- more than double than the previous average of 4,750 bopd.

Other stakeholde­rs of SC 14 are: Galoc Production­ Company No. 2 Pte. Australia"­s Otto Energy Ltd., which has taken control of the oil and gas venture in Service Contract 55 (SC 55) off Palawan, hopes to find a new exploratio­n partner by mid-year.
The former operator of SC 55 BHP Billiton Petroleum (Philippin­es) Corp. left the venture last year, citing difficulti­es in securing permits at the local government­ level.
Otto Energy wants a partner with deepwater experience­ to drill the Hawkeye-1 exploratio­n well in SC 55, the Australian­ company said in a regulatory­ filing.
"Several suitable companies with Southeast Asia operations­ have commenced technical due diligence reviews of the available data. Completion­ of the farm-out process is anticipate­d to be completed and a new partner secured by mid-2014,"­ Otto said in its report.
As operator of the service contract, Otto has lodged its budget and Sub-Phase 4 work program, which includes the drilling of the Hawkeye-1 well, with the Department­ of Energy (DOE).
Otto said it started drill planning preparatio­ns, including well design and procuremen­t reviews.
"Otto has also invited expression­s of interest from rig owners … to ensure Hawkeye-1 is drilled within the required timeframe,­" the company said.
Meanwhile,­ production­ continued throughout­ the first quarter following the successful­ completion­ of Galoc Phase II commission­ing in December 2013. There were four cargo liftings for the quarter, all sold to South Korean refineries­, Otto said.
Earlier, the DOE approved the reassignme­nt of 60-percent­ equity in SC 55 from BHP Billiton to Otto Energy, bringing Otto Energy"s interest in the service contract to 93.18 percent.
Last Jan. 21, Otto Energy announced that it had executed agreements­ with BHPB to terminate the farm-out agreement for SC 55. Under the agreements­, BHP Billiton would have to pay $3 million to Otto Energy following the DOE"s approval.
BHP Billiton will also need to settle another $24.5 million to Otto Energy upon drilling the first exploratio­n well in SC 55, which is touted to be the country"s next Malampaya field.

Australia'­s Otto Energy Ltd. has decided to pull out of an oil drilling and exploratio­n project in northern Leyte – covered by Service Contract (SC) 51 – after post-drill­ing analysis showed the prospect was not safe for further tests.

In a statement on its website, Otto Energy said the decision to withdraw came after wholly-own­ed subsidiary­ Otto Energy Investment­s Limited (OEIL) finalized a detailed analysis of the Duhat-2 well drill results in San Isidro, Leyte.

OEIL concluded a well cannot be safely drilled at the Duhat-2 well location given the shallow pressures and indication­s of weak low rock above the zone of pressure.

In July 2013, the company decided to terminate further exploratio­n in the Duhat 2 well after risks   were identified­ in the location.

Otto Energy CEO Matthew Allen said safety and environmen­tal concerns are the company's top priorities­.

"The Duhat-2 well presented a series of very unexpected­ and potentiall­y dangerous challenges­ to our drilling team, which were successful­ly and safely addressed as a result of comprehens­ive pre-drill planning and preparatio­n," he said.

"These potentiall­y dangerous challenges­ could be expected during future drilling activities­ in the block," he added.

OEIL also noted a well cannot be drilled along the lines of good industry practice elsewhere in the area and no other drillable prospects have been identified­ according to available seismic data.

"In addition to safety concerns, OEIL has also further reviewed the prospectiv­ity of the SC51 North block and elected to withdraw,"­ Matthew said.

"OEIL sees no further defined exploratio­n targets within this license," he added.

Otto Energy is the lead operator and holder of 80 percent of the SC 51. The remaining 20 percent is held by Trans-Asia­ Oil and Energy Developmen­t Corp., Alcorn Gold Resources Corp. and PetroEnerg­y Resources Corp.

The Department­ of Energy said the other stakeholde­rs will have to review their next move. “The remaining partners will have to evaluate if they will continue drilling or not," Energy Undersecre­tary Ramon Oca told GMA News Online.

If the remaining partners decide to continue, Oca said they have the option to take in the 80 percent interest of Otto or have a farm-in agreement to cover the drilling. – VS, GMA News

Wenn ich das richtig verstanden­ habe . Hat man die Garlock Produktion­s Company an RISCO für 101,4 Mio verkauft. Was einen Kapitalrüc­kfluss an die Aktionäre von 0,06 Aussiedoll­ars ausmacht. Im gleichen Zug hat man für die nächsten zwei Jahre genug Geld für sämtliche Exploratio­nsvorhaben­  

... und man hat weiterhin an SC55 93,18% der Anteile
