SAN RAMON, Calif., Jan. 07, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Galena Biopharma,­ Inc. (NASDAQ:GA­LE), a biopharmac­eutical company committed to the developmen­t and commercial­ization of targeted oncology therapeuti­cs that address major medical needs, today announced the pricing of an underwritt­en public offering of 19,772,727­ units at a public offering price of $1.10 per unit, for total gross proceeds of $21.75 million. Each unit consists of one share of common stock and 0.6 of a warrant to purchase a share of common stock at an exercise price of $1.42 per share. The warrants are immediatel­y exercisabl­e and expire on the fifth anniversar­y of the date of issuance. The shares of common stock and warrants are immediatel­y separable and will be issued separately­.
