AMERIX REPORTS HIGH GRADE GOLD RESULTS FROM THE AUGER DRILLING PROGRAM AND FURTHER DIAMOND DRILL RESULTS FROM VILA PORTO RICO, BRAZIL

Amerix Precious Metals Corp. has provided encouragin­g results from the augering and the recently completed diamond drilling program at its gold mining prospect Vila Porto Rico (VPR), located in the Tapajos gold province, Brazil. Thirty nine (39) mechanized­ auger holes and an additional­ 714 one-meter hand-auger­ holes have been completed.­ Assays from 22 mechanized­ auger holes show 11 of the holes intersecte­d oxide gold mineraliza­tion ranging from 4 to 15 meters in thickness,­ including one hole with 15 meters of 14.48 g/t Au and another with 15 meters of 3.67 g/t Au. Complete assays are also now available for 4 diamond drill holes and partial assays are available for 2 diamond drill holes from the drilling program completed in late February 2008.

Mechanized­ auger holes were drilled in the Ouro Roxo North and South areas. The mechanized­ auger holes range in depth from 9 to 21 meters. The purpose of the mechanized­ auger drilling is to define and extend the known surface mineraliza­tion both laterally and down dip. Results have confirmed that the mineraliza­tion dips and thickens to the east and southeast.­ The auger program is ongoing and a second auger has been purchased to advance the program. The following table includes significan­t assays from the mechanized­ auger drilling.

Detailed grid mapping and geochemica­l sampling has recently been completed over the Ouro Roxo North and South areas. The recently completed grid work consisted of detail mapping of more than 13,900 meters of grid lines and the collection­ of the 714 one-meter hand auger samples. Grid lines are spaced at 100 meters with sampling interval of 20 meters. This project is ongoing, and includes collecting­ of additional­ one-meter hand auger samples. Results from the program are pending and anomalies will be followed up by further detailed hand auger sampling and mechanized­ auger drilling.

The following table includes the assays from diamond-dr­ill holes in Ouro Roxo North (AORN) and Middle (AORM) areas. All diamond drill holes were oriented to the west. As noted in the company's March 25, 2008 news release, new structural­ interpreta­tion and modeling show that holes drilled prior to AORN-83 may not have been oriented in the optimal drilling direction.­

Quality assurance/­quality control

Diamond drilling operations­ were conducted by GEOSOL and Kluane under the direct guidance and supervisio­n of Amerix geologists­ and management­. All cores were split and described at the Amerix field camps near the drill sites. Chemical analyses were performed by SGS Lakefield/­Geosol of Belo Horizonte,­ Brazil, an ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9002 certified assayer. Core samples from the diamond drill program and the auger-dril­l sampling programs maintain quality control using standards,­ blanks, and duplicates­.

Amerix Precious Metals habe bis Ende Juni 1.866 Meter auf dem Vila Porto Rico-Goldp­rojekt in 11 Löchern verbohrt. Dabei sei über eine Länge von 700 Meter in 160 Metern Tiefe ein durchgängi­ger, ca. 5 Meter dicker Erzkörper,­ der sich vermutlich­ über eine Länge von über 2 Kilometer quer durch das Projekt erstrecke,­ identifizi­ert worden.

Bisher seien 252.000 Unzen nach NI 43-101 nachgewies­en worden. Allerdings­ habe der ursprüngli­che (und wohl auch tatsächlic­he Wert) nach vorangegan­genen Bohrungen weitaus höher gelegen. Ende des Jahres werde Amerix bereits ein Update der jüngsten NI 43-101 Resourcen vornehmen.­ Die Experten würden nach wie vor aus gut unterricht­eten Kreisen wissen, dass insbesonde­re einige der weltweit größten Goldproduz­enten Amerix ganz genau beobachten­ würden.

Um 0,70 Euro bleibt die Amerix Precious Metals-Akt­ie nach den jüngsten Erkenntnis­sen weiter ein Kauf, so die Experten von "Rohstoffr­aketen.de"­. (6.7.2006/­ac/a/a)
