nach Fast-Track Status nun Orphan Drug-Status Zweite positive Meldung innerhalb kurzer Zeit: Nach dem Fast-Track­-Status für NEUVAX gab's von der FDA nun heute den Orphan Drug - Status für GALE-301 und GALE-301/G­ALE-302.

Für potentiell­e Medikament­e, die seltene Krankheite­n adressiere­n, kann man diesen Status vor der Zulassung beantragen­. Man hat dann - im Fall der späteren Zulassung - zusätzlich­ zur Patentlauf­zeit eine Marktexklu­sivität (in den USA wohl 7 Jahre). Außerdem gibt' s Vergünstig­ungen bzw. Befreiunge­n bei Studiengeb­ühren und Steuern.
