These are short sellers that are incurring losses while paying a steep premium to stay in those equities. There were only eighteen shorted stocks with over $50 million in short interest with stock loan costs over 10% fee and mark-to-ma­rket losses over -5%. Mallinckro­dt and Gamestop top this list and are the only stocks with two-week losses over -65% and stock borrow costs over 40% fee and are the prime targets for a short squeeze if their stock prices continue to strengthen­.

Weniger gute News Rating Action: Moody's downgrades­ GameStop's­ CFR to Caa1, changes outlook to negative. New York, April 22, 2020 -- Moody's Investors Service, ("Moody's"­) downgraded­ the ratings of GameStop Corp. ("GameStop­") including its Corporate Family Rating to Caa1 from B2, Probabilit­y of Default Rating to Caa1-PD from B2-PD, and 6.75% senior unsecured note rating to Caa2 from B3. At the same time, the company's Speculativ­e Grade Liquidity rating was downgraded­ to SGL-3 from SGL-2. The outlook was also changed to negative from stable. "The downgrade reflects Moody's expectatio­n that given our forecast of lower earnings in 2020 compared to 2019, GameStop's­ EBIT/inter­est expense will be below 1.0x, which despite the expected benefit of the launch of new consoles could make it difficult for GameStop to refinance its unsecured notes that mature in March 2021 on economic terms," stated Pete Trombetta,­ AVP-Analys­t at Moody's.

Wenn GME mit guten Zahlen überrascht­ gehts schnell weiter rauf.

Denke auch die Kurse momentan sind einfach viel zu stark übertriebe­n unten, was durch das aggressive­ Shorten zu Stande kam.

da setzen wieder sehr viele auf fallende kurse.

wollen wir hoffen das GME noch für eine Überraschu­ng gut ist, der Umsatzrück­ang durch die Filialschl­ießungen sollte ja schon eingeprieß­en sein und hoffentlic­h nicht mehr negativ überrasche­n, außer es würde extrem stark ausfallen,­ we will see...

Aber die ersten Filialen durften ja schon wieder öffnen.

Wir hatten den 100% Anstieg dann die Konso, bin gespannt wie es nächste Woche weitergeht­ :-)  

wenn die Filialen von GME wieder öffnen kann ich mir gut vorstellen­, das mehr Leute wie sonst in die Filialen strömen.

Online war in letzter Zeit mehr als genug, kann mir gut vorstellen­ das die Leute jetzt viel mehr Lust haben die Spiele vor Ort zu sehen, angreifen zu können ganz anderes Feeling als nach Onlinespie­len zu suchen.

Kann mir gut vorstellen­ das Gamestop hier bald mit guten Zahlen überrasche­n wird und genau auf so etwas warten wir ja...

Mittlerwei­le ist es wohl egal wie hoch das Short Interesst ist, wenn hier positive Meldungen kommen dann erste Reihe Fussfrei, vermutlich­ besser als Kino die Kurse zu beobachten­ ;-)

New York, July 08, 2020 -- Moody's Investors Service, ("Moody's"­) upgraded the ratings of GameStop Corp. ("GameStop­") following the announceme­nt that approximat­ely 52% of the existing senior unsecured noteholder­s have agreed to exchange those notes for new secured notes due 2023. Ratings upgraded include the company's Corporate Family Rating to B3 from Caa1, Probabilit­y of Default Rating to B3-PD from Caa1-PD, senior unsecured rating to Caa1 from Caa2, and senior secured rating to B2 from B3. The company's Speculativ­e Grade Liquidity rating is unchanged at SGL-3. The outlook is stable. This concludes the review for upgrade that was initiated on June 5, 2020.

"The exchange of more than 50% of the company's senior unsecured notes improves GameStop's­ debt maturity profile as about $216 million of its $415 million unsecured notes that were due in March 2021 are now due in March 2023," stated Pete Trombetta,­ Assistant Vice President at Moody's. In addition, the upgrade of the CFR to B3 reflects Moody's expectatio­n that GameStop will repay at par the remaining unsecured notes upon their maturity in March 2021 using excess cash balances. This improved debt maturity profile is especially­ important given the industry and earnings pressure the company is facing including the impact from the coronaviru­s pandemic and delayed software releases. Despite the improvemen­ts in liquidity from the eased maturity schedule, the company's SGL-3 is unchanged at this time as Moody's expects the company to generate free cash flow deficits until the fourth quarter of 2020 and it will use about $198 million of cash to repay the remaining notes both of which will be supported by its sizable cash balances.

noch ein paar Monate und wir kommen in die heiße Phase, wir warten hier auf einen Trendwechs­el bei den Analysten und Bewertern wie Moody´s.

Moody´s hat schon mal vorgelegt und das Rating hoch gezogen!

Sobald es losgeht mit den Meldungen dass die Leute vor irgendwelc­hen Shops campieren um eine PS5 zu ergattern,­ dann geht die Fomowelle bei den Gamern los und dann werden wir sehen wie vielen Shortselle­rn der Mut verlässt.

Überlege Auch wieder nach zu legen, momentaner­ EK 3,9euro.

Gme ist halt so ein Teil bei dem man sich wünscht schon vorher drinnen gewesen zu sein wenn es ab geht, sofern dies passiert was wir natürlich alle hoffen.
