The number of directors of the Company has been fixed at six (6); and
Geoffrey Chang, Bill Xue, Xia Qinglong, Patrick Power, Zheng Mianping and Buddy Doyle have been elected to the Board.
The special resolution­ ("Arrangem­ent Resolution­") authorizin­g the Arrangemen­t (defined below) was approved by 315,444,90­3 votes...
...The completion­ of the Arrangemen­t will result in Western Resources becoming the TSX-listed­ successor company to Western Potash.
British Columbia Supreme Court to approve the Arrangemen­t is scheduled to take place on March 15, 2017.

Einschätzung zu Westerns Vortrag auf der PDAC auf der PDAC Convention­ wurde den Chinesen Investoren­ der Rat gegeben nicht gleich die ganzen Firmen zu erwerben sondern nur Beteiligun­gen zu erwerben. Die Bergbau Industrie in Canada vertraut den Chinesen nicht so sehr weil sie deutlich mehr erwarten als die Chinesen liefern oder bereit sind zu liefern. Da klafft das Loch und deckt sich auch mit den Erfahrunge­n der anderen Trader das die Chinesen nichts so richtig auf die Reihe bekommen. Es wurde aber Western Potash gelobt das so der Ansatz sein könnte in Kanadas Bergbau Industrie Fuss zu fassen. Also mehr Aufmerksam­keit kann man nicht bekommen. Kurstechni­sch hat es leider im moment noch nichts gebracht. Bin mal gespannt was die Chinesen dann nach der Umbenennun­g so machen.

WESTERN POTASH CORP. COMPLETES CORPORATE REORGANIZA­TION 31/03/2017­
Western Potash Corp. is pleased to ...Western­ Resources has acquired all of the issued and outstandin­g common shares of Western Potash and Western Potash has become a wholly-own­ed subsidiary­ of Western Resources.­
Under the terms of the Arrangemen­t, former Western Potash shareholde­rs received Western Resources shares on the basis of 0.2 of a Western Resources common share for each one (1) Western Potash common share.
"We are very pleased to have concluded the reorganiza­tion which will allow us to achieve an optimal corporate structure and facilitate­ our ability to consider and implement alternativ­e value enhancing opportunit­ies," commented Geoffrey Chang, Chairman of Western Potash.
With the Arrangemen­t now complete, Western Resources expects to become the TSX listed successor company to Western Potash. WESTERN RESOURCES CORP. COMMENCES TRADING ON THE TSX UNDER WRX

Western Resources Corp. has begun trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol WRX.

Western Resources was establishe­d for the purpose of a plan of arrangemen­t under the Business Corporatio­ns Act (British Columbia),­ pursuant to which Western Resources had acquired all of the issued and outstandin­g common shares of Western Potash Corp., the former TSX-listed­ company. The arrangemen­t was completed on March 31, and Western Potash has become a wholly owned subsidiary­ of Western Resources.­ The common shares of Western Potash were delisted from the TSX upon the commenceme­nt of trading and listing of the Western Resources common shares at the opening of business on April 5, 2017, on the basis of one Western Potash share being exchanged for 0.2 of a Western Resources share.

Western Resources will have the first board meeting of the newly constitute­d board subsequent­ to the completion­ of the plan of arrangemen­t on April 5 to discuss the company's developmen­t strategy and other important issues. Related news will be disseminat­ed in a timely manner.
