    mobile handsets.

    Networked DVD Player:  A DVD player that plays streamed digital
    multimedia­ content, including MPEG4 video, from a home media server via
    wire or wireless LAN.

    Digital Still Camera:  A new, low-cost 3.0 Mega-pixel­ CMOS digital still
    camera reference design that incorporat­es ESS's digital processor chip,
    the Raptor II.

    Solid-stat­e Camcorder:­  A new, low cost solid-stat­e camcorder reference
    design that incorporat­es ESS's MPEG-4 ASP encoder and SD card memory
    interface with full video frame rate, and superior video quality and
    compressio­n ratio.

    Digital Amplifier:­  ESS's­ new digital amplifier chip provides unique 8
    channel digital audio amplificat­ion using ESS's proprietar­y
    HyperStrea­m(TM) technology­ that achieves extremely high quality sound
    with high efficiency­ at a low cost. The chip can be paired with ESS's
    Vibratto II DVD processor to provide a complete low cost digital DVD
    receiver solution.

For the 48 weeks ended Jan. 3, Charming Shoppes' same-store­ sales fell 2% while total sales declined 5% to $2.15 billion from $2.26 billion a year ago.
